Things to know before friending me:

If you're looking to just read my fic, feel free to head over to My AO3 Account or thehappyfangirl for my solo stuff, and weighted_scales, or queens_choice for my collaborative stuff.

If you still want to friend me:

- I'm a pro-choice, progressive, passionate feminist. I don't anticipate many of my posts to be along those lines, but if there's something that moves me enough, I'll post it here instead of my Facebook (my usual soap box). If you are anti-choice and can keep those thoughts out of my blog, feel free to friend me, but I won't tolerate any kind of anti-choice rhetoric/"concern" comments to my posts.

- I do not read Twitter Feed posts to LJ. If your LJ is your Twitter repository, you can still friend me. Just don't expect me to read 140 characters of your life at a time :)

- Aside from banning rape jokes, othering and any ____-ist slurs, I try not to censor my friends' comments on my LJ unless things become nasty, in which case I will either freeze the thread or delete the comments; I like to go back and re-read old posts and I'd rather not find old fights.

- If you find something I say particularly snark-worthy, please don't take it to a dot_snark community to dissect. Post it on your LJ if you really, really feel the need to mock.

Thanks :)

I blog for choice because I believe that a woman's body is her own.

I blog for choice because we live in a culture that at best treats women as 'less than' men and at worst hates women enough to actively oppress them, minimize crimes committed against them, and treat their bodies as public property.

I blog for choice because it's the right thing to do.

Scott Roeder, who killed Dr. George Tiller, was convicted of first-degree murder today.

He faces a mandatory life sentence. The jury deliberated for 37 minutes.

Good. This is a good thing and the jury should feel good for doing it. He expressed no remorse, buried the gun and went out for pizza after he killed a man in cold blood, all to prevent women from a choice that is theirs and theirs alone.

I hope the anti-choice movement gets the effing message.
